Keeping our emissions low & our speed high
It feels like nowadays, all we hear about is our carbon footprint and how damaging this is for the environment. But if carbon is natural, how can it be detrimental to the environment?
Great question!

Carbon is an element which makes up all organic matter on earth: humans, animals, soil and plants are all made up of carbon compounds! When we breathe, we take in oxygen and convert it into energy. This conversion process releases carbon dioxide into the air through our exhaling. The problem arises when there is too much carbon dioxide in the air. A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases (including carbon dioxide and methane) that are generated by our actions. This includes emissions from transportation, energy production, and other activities that use fossil fuels.

As sea lovers, we’ve always been concerned about our impact on the environment and since many water sports rely on motorised boats and other equipment that contribute to carbon emissions there’s always a real concern and a super concentrated effort to reach our sustainability goals.
At Supreme Power Boats Malta, we not only care about the quality of the natural environment but we’re very much aware that if we had no glorious surroundings, there’d be nothing to show you on our tours!
So, to lower the carbon footprint of water sports, we have taken certain measures to decrease our environmental impact and lower our carbon footprint. Firstly, use Yamaha 300ho engines on our boat, which are certifiably some of the most efficient engines on the market, ensuring we use the least amount of energy possible. Furthermore, these engines are electric instead of gasoline-powered motors, which significantly reduces carbon emissions and general pollutants in the water.

We also recommend that our patrons use environmentally friendly products, such as biodegradable sunscreen when swimming in the sea to reduce the amount of pollution that is generated by our day trips. And finally, all waste generated on our tours such as snack wrappers and leftover belongings is either recycled or adequately disposed of.
We truly believe that education and awareness are critical to protecting the sea environment. We at Supreme Power Boats Malta are greatly committed to environmentally friendly practices and can assure you we do our utmost to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. We encourage you to do the same when choosing to embark with us on a high-speed, environmentally-friendly speedboat ride where you will enjoy the natural environment of the Maltese Islands from a different perspective that only the sea can provide.

At an astonishing speed of 80 km/h, you can luxuriate in the sun and take in the Valletta fortifications, Manoel Island, Valletta Breakwater, The Blue Lagoon, The Crystal Lagoon, Santa Marija Bay, St. Mary’s Chapel, Santa Marija Tower, and Santa Marija Battery once we arrive at Comino.
